Was It Worth It?
Would We Do It Again?

by Kevin Watson

We start our day by taking the Ghost Town Tour in Terlingua, Texas! Our first stop is the Terlingua Cemetery, then we visit the old town and Chisos Mining Company ruins. Our next stop was a place one of our RV park neighbors recommended. In their words, “It was better than Big Bend National Park,” so we had to go check it out!

We made the short drive to Big Bend Ranch State Park, where we walked through the Barton Warnock Visitor Center. This visitor center was impressive and even had an interpretive center and store on-site! After talking with a Ranger, they recommended we take the scenic drive between Lajitas and Presidio, then do the Hoodoo and Closed Canyon trails!

Come along to see if Big Bend Ranch State Park really was better than Big Bend National Park!
