Flipped Shackles & Water Leaks!

by Kevin Watson

After 16 days in Terlingua, Texas to see Big Bend National Park, our caravan is moving on to a different part of Texas. We’ve had a great time here, but are excited to start our two-week stay in New Braunfels! After stopping in Fort Stockton to fuel up, we unexpectedly meet up with a loyal subscriber during our lunch stop!

We make the 357 mile trip to our overnight stop at North Llano River RV Park in Junction, where we are staying hooked up for the night, since we plan to continue our journey the next day. We only 60 miles to travel to get to The Summit Vacation and RV Resort, so we have a very light travel day. Before leaving, we show you what happens when your shackles flip while leveling and how to correct it before hitting the road again. We also show you how we use a cutting board to prevent our slide from damaging our floor.

Upon arriving to New Braunfels, we pick up a package from Blu Technology that will solve our water leak problems! We have gone through so many black and blue hoses from Zero G, because they continue to leak. We are hopeful that the Blu Technology hoses and QD’s that were delivered will solve our leaky hose problems!

After everyone gets set-up, we decide to venture into downtown New Braunfels to check out Texas’ oldest dance hall, Gruene Hall, and then have dinner at the Gristmill River Restaurant, which is located next to Gruene Hall.
