Almost A Perfect Stay!
There's Only One Issue!

by Kevin Watson

When we arrived to Rhode Island, it was 83 and sunny! Within a couple hours, the weather changed drastically and it has been raining and in the 50’s for the past two days. With a break in the weather, we go on a fun adventure in Portsmouth to Rail Explorers, which is a self-pedaled rail cart that allows you to see the Bay, Jamestown, Mount Hope Bridge, Hog Island Lighthouse and more from the comfort of your rail cart! Afterwards, we head to The Red Parrot Restaurant in downtown Newport for dinner, which includes our first experience with a lobster roll!

We give a tour of our RV park, Wawaloam Campground. From large sites, a playground and basketball court, splash pad, pool, water slides and more, this campground has so much to offer! There’s also a rec area and pavilion, on-site laundry and a store and cornhole, horseshoes and bocce ball. Kevin shares the only issue he has with the park, which is actually on the road that leads to the park. We confirm with the campground that for a small fee we can check-out late, since our drive to Carver, Massachusetts will be another short travel day.
